The supercomputer predicts the final Premier League standings for the 2023/24 season when the fixtures are released

The dust has just settled on the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, but the verdict is already out on how next season will play out with more glory expected for Man City

According to a supercomputer, Manchester City will retain their Premier League title and Liverpool will displace Newcastle in the top four this season.

Treble winners City clinched their fifth Premier League title in six years last month and the champagne bottles have just been emptied after winning the Champions League, with attention already turning to next season after the roster of the Premier League has been released

It seems that the time between one season and another is getting shorter and shorter and in that break there is no shortage of transfers across the league. The outcome of the window will obviously have a major impact on this season’s standings, but predictions have already been made.

Unsurprisingly, Pep Guardiola’s side are on course for another title in their era of dominance, frustrating the rest of their Premier League rivals. However, places below them in the rankings can prove to be much more attractive. A prediction from the King Casino Bonus super computer attempted to project this season’s table based on the betting markets and how they predict how the next 12 months of action will unfold, with no shortage of interesting results.

Liverpool would need to bounce back from last season’s hugely disappointing fifth place to secure a top-two finish, with Arsenal dropping one place to third and Manchester United in the top four, after an impressive top-three finish in the previous time-out.

This means Newcastle will exit the Champions League in fifth place, while Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea move into the top six.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham are expected to finish seventh, while Brighton, Aston Villa and West Ham will complete the top ten a trio of sides also competing in next European football season.

Newly promoted clubs Luton Town and Sheffield United are expected to return straight to the Championship, with Burnley finishing 17th, condemning Bournemouth to relegation after last season’s admirable finish under Gary O’Neill. Supercomputers’ final Premier League table for the 2023/24 season
