French striker Moussa Dembele has joined Al-Ettifaq as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais.

Al-Ettifaq – who have signed the likes of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Scotland defender Jack Hendry – confirmed Dembele’s arrival on Wednesday.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed but Dembele will feature in the Saudi Pro League next season and play under their new manager Steven Gerrard.

The club took to Twitter – which has been rebranded as X – to welcome the 26-year-old to the club this summer. They wrote: ‘Moussa Dembele, welcome to Al-Ettifaq’.
