World Impact, Mohamed Salah is no longer Liverpool’s top idol
The Pharaoh has lost his prominence in the team
It seems that Mohamed Salah is a thing of the past. Luis Diaz one of the most influential players at Liverpool. The Guajira striker has made an important impact on the British team since his arrival from Porto. After almost a year and a half in England, the Barrancas-born player has become a star for Klopp’s team.
With the season about to start, the Merseyside team has decided to give several youth players a chance to develop with the first team. Several of the reserve team players are training with the professional squad. Lewis Koumas, one of the youth players, confessed his admiration for the Guajira player. The member of the British team’s reserves has pointed out that being with the professional squad, one of the best moments has been sharing with the Colombian.
“I’m excited about it. To be honest, it’s been the dream since I was a kid to make the first team. Honestly, being here literally feels like being behind a screen. Seeing players I look up to, for example, Luis Diaz, I remember watching him at Anfield last season and now I’m behind him. It’s crazy, to be honest,” said the player in dialogue with the club’s media.
Thank you Lucho
He added: “When they told me I would be with the team it was pure excitement, but as it got closer, the nerves started to set in. I come and I want to learn from some of the best players in the world, it is a good opportunity to be close to the champions”.For now, the Guajira striker is getting ready for what will be the pre-season matches. The Reds will face Bayern Munich and Leicester in a tour of Singapore.
