Liverpool striker Alexander-Arnold explains the evening in Bellingham

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed why he was spotted at a Chris Brown concert with England teammate Jude Bellingham.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is a huge target for the Reds for a summer transfer.

Fans were thrilled to see Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham at last month’s concert.

Speaking of the Liverpool games, the right-back said: “Yes, I went with him (Bellingham) too.

“I didn’t take him (Andrew Robertson) to a concert, we all went together, but I don’t think he was too keen to go. “I don’t think he (Robertson) cared much, but he ended up getting sucked in and really enjoying himself.

“I liked the first concert so much that I decided to go again and he (Bellingham) was in town because he had a meeting with the national team, so we decided to go and everyone had a good time.”

Positive messages: Ex-Liverpool player says Anfield staff very impressed with £37m upfront

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Sander Westerveld said the Anfield staff were very impressed with new signing Cody Gakpo.

Speaking to Viaplay (as reported by PSV fans), the former Reds shooter praised the 23-year-old, suggesting that everyone at the club is happy with his arrival.

“It’s [false nine] a new role for him, he played on the left at PSV,” said Westerveld.

“I hear only positive messages about him from the club left and right. He does what is asked of him and does it well. “He enters the ball like a false nine, spins with his technique, can run away himself in speed or make a cross.

“Obviously they want me to score more, but just like against Manchester United a few weeks ago, it went great.”

Westerveld says Liverpool are impressed by Gakpo

Since he joined the club in January in a £37m deal, Gakpo has endured one of the toughest spells in Liverpool’s recent history.

Several injuries to Klopp’s attack left the Dutchman straight into the XI and forced to adapt to his role as the starting false nine.

Roberto Firmino has made the post of him for the past eight years, but with his injury and his late-season departure, the Reds have opted to coach the youngster halfway through.

In 12 Premier League appearances, the Dutch international managed to score four times. As he continues to get used to his new position, other goals will naturally follow. But so far Gakpo has been able to show signs of great talent and promise.

He will certainly have an important role in Klopp’s team in the coming years.

Liverpool have shifted their focus away from Jude Bellingham

Liverpool have drawn their attention away from Jude Bellingham due to the scale and scope of the refurbishment required at Anfield this summer.

The Reds have long been linked with a move from the England international but with the 19-year-old expected to cost more than £100m, the club have decided the time and money needed to finalize his signature could be better spent. spent elsewhere. Bellingham remains a target for Manchester City and Real Madrid, and with the Reds currently lacking the resources to compete with those clubs, they are well aware that a pursuit of Bellingham could be fruitless.
