Rivaldo believes Manchester United star Casemiro has been the best Brazilian in the Premier League this season. Erik ten Hag brought Casemiro to the club after his reign as United manager got off to a bad start with defeats to Brighton and Brentford. The Real Madrid legend has had a transformative impact, spearheading improvement at the club and ending its trophy drought.

There are many Brazilians plying their trade in England, including fellow United stars Fred and Antony, as well as Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus, Alisson and Ederson. However, it is Casemiro who impressed Rivaldo the most.

“Now that the English Premier League is over, it’s time to take stock and celebrate a Brazilian player going into the season,” the Brazilian icon told Betfair. “I vote Casemiro as the best Brazilian in the English top flight because of his quick and fantastic adaptation.

“He joined a club that was in a difficult situation and immediately became one of the stars of the team. He had the courage to trade the security of playing for Real Madrid for a complicated challenge.”

“He helped United finish third and in doing so secured a place in the next Champions League. They won the League Cup and will challenge for the FA Cup against Manchester City in the final on Saturday.

United’s final game of the season comes on Saturday when they take on FA Cup neighbors Manchester City and dash their treble hopes. City are favorites but Rivaldo is not ruling out United.
