Man Utd are about to announce the worst signings news after the Man City FA Cup final

Manchester United join Manchester City in Saturday’s FA Cup final as takeover talks continue for the club.

All six Glazers could remain at Manchester United even if Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes over the club. And ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup Final against Manchester City, that is certainly painful news for their fans. Red Devils fans have long wanted to see the family’s back, but now it seems more and more that they want to stay.

Manchester United need only look at their “noisy neighbours” to know what a takeover could do. City have been inferior to their rivals for many years. When Sir Alex Ferguson was asked if they would ever switch roles, the Scot said confidently: “Not in my life.”

But they gradually emerged as a threat in the later stages of Ferguson’s glorious reign and are now the country’s dominant force ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup showdown at Wembley.

Of course, without the Abu Dhabi takeover in 2008, City wouldn’t be in this position. Even the most diehard Blues would admit it. But they have spent wisely and intelligently and have also made the right behind-the-scenes investments to become a team the envy of world football.

When the Glazers announced in November that they were willing to leave United, fans were in dreamland.

They would finally see the backs of a family that has taken rather than given from the Red Devils since their acquisition way back in 2005.

However, according to the Financial Times, the Glazers – all six – could stay.

It had previously been said that if his offer were successful Ratcliffe would be willing to allow Avram and Joel to remain at the club in limited roles. Now that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Instead, the INEOS boss and self-proclaimed United fan is willing to let all six brothers stay on before buying their shares later.

The Glazers are said to be “focused” on this idea, catastrophic news for many associated with the club.

Ratcliffe would use the loans to secure United. Sound familiar? Instead of Sheikh Jassim’s debt-free offer, it would potentially plunge the club into even murkier waters.

Avram will be there on Saturday as the Red Devils take on City in what is arguably the biggest derby of them all.

This hardly looks like a man who will soon leave positions of power at Old Trafford.

And it looks like United fans have no choice but to accept where the Glazers are.

It would trigger an unprecedented reaction – including the failure of the European Super League plot in 2021. Consideration of Qatar’s candidacy seems to have become the norm lately. Rightly so, because the human rights situation in the country is downright appalling.

But when City and Newcastle are already state-owned and there are countries with similar policies and practices, the damage to the Premier League and the so-called ‘beautiful game’ has already been done.

Ratcliffe would provide investment – but nothing like Sheikh Jassim and his Nine Two Foundation could provide

They would pay off the debt, invest in the team and the local community while doing everything possible to restore United to the dominant force in the country.

As the Red Devils prepare to take on City, they yearn to be equal. However, with the Glazers remaining and continuing to benefit from the club, a further drift back is entirely possible.

A final decision will be made in the coming weeks, although no announcement is imminent. And what ultimately happens remains to be seen.
