Manchester United have announced the date and time their fourth quarter and full year fiscal 2023 period results will be released to shareholders and the public.

The Reds’ financial results for the quarter given an indication as to how the club is performing in the economic market and can give pointers as to potential changes to investment. In June, United released their third quarter financial results which projected the club to make record revenues of up to £640m.

However, there was no mention of an impending takeover or added investment in the club back in the summer. At the time, it was still a two-horse race between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Ratcliffe was still wanting to take on a majority of the shares in June but his bid has since been restructured to become a minority 25 per cent stakeholder at the club. Meanwhile, Sheikh Jassim has now pulled out of the process citing the Glazers’ valuation of the club as the sticking point of any takeover.

This has left the door open for Ratcliffe to acquire his minority stake but no official confirmation has yet been made. While it is not guaranteed, United could make an announcement regarding further investment in the club in their fourth quarter statement which is to be released on Thursday, October 26 at 7am ET (12pm UK time).

Should Ratcliffe join the United board, the Glazers are expected to remain for an indefinite period. However, the INEOS founder is thought to be determined to complete a full buyout in time.
