Manchester United still have work to do in order to make their season a success.

The Red Devils slumped to eighth in the Premier League – their lowest ever position since the division’s rebrand. They now face Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

It could potentially signify a huge game for Erik ten Hag, who is clutching onto his job at Old Trafford. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is already considering replacements for the Dutchman.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also intent on adding to their squad this summer and have a few targets in mind. With that being said, take a look at all of the headlines coming out of Old Trafford:

Zirkzee urged to snub Old Trafford move

Former Netherlands boss Frank de Boer could have handed Manchester United a huge blow in their hopes of signing Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee. He has suggested that the striker should pen a deal with Premier League rivals Arsenal instead.

“I have great respect for Arsenal, they have patience, for example they had it with [Mikel] Arteta who didn’t start well,” ex-Inter Milan boss De Boer told Calciomercato (via Metro). “In some clubs, if it happens like this you are already out.

“And he has played very well in the last two years, Inter also play well. If I have to say someone I prefer Arsenal because they have the patience to wait for him and give him confidence.”

Greenwood drops huge hint

On the topic of strikers, Mason Greenwood has dropped the clearest hint that he is set to leave Man United. According to reports, the striker’s £2m mansion is now up for rent.

The six-bedroom pad is full-furnished and is available for £14,000 per month. Greenwood stayed in the property during his time at Man United before a loan move to Getafe.

Should he move on, a number of clubs are interested in sealing a deal for his services. Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are chasing him, while Borussia Dortmund recently joined the race for the 22-year-old’s signature.

Maguire shares transfer stance

It’s not just strikers that are on the transfer agenda heading into the summer. Former Red Devils captain Harry Maguire faces an uncertain future and hinted that he could be sold after a disappointing season.

Speaking to The Sun, Maguire said: “It is what happens when you play for this club. If you don’t get good results, players get scrutinised, players get linked with a move away. They get sold, put on the transfer list and the manager will come under pressure.

“I have been here five years now so I know what happens. The manager is experienced enough to know it is part and parcel of being at this club. I am sure he can deal with that.”
