Jude Bellingham will be at the center of the biggest transfer saga of the summer.

The England star, valued at over £100million, is sure to leave Borussia Dortmund and appears to have a choice of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

But if Jamie Carragher’s very telling reaction to Thierry Henry’s mention of the midfielder is anything, it’s Liverpool fans who should be excited.

But if Jamie Carragher’s very telling reaction to Thierry Henry’s mention of the midfielder is anything, it’s Liverpool fans who should be excited. Henry made it clear the players wanted to represent Paris Saint-Germain during CBS’ Wednesday night coverage of Champions League action.

But then he suddenly changed the subject, turned to Carragher, who was sitting next to him in the studio, and said: “Bellingham wants to play for Liverpool, everyone knows that, right? not ?”

Carragher’s reaction is priceless and Micah Richards, also a member of the pundit team, flashes a huge smile.

“Ay up,” Carragher says, giving himself a cheeky smile as Henry continues his point.

Liverpool fans certainly took it as a sign that Bellingham is destined for Anfield. “It’s totally hip,” one wrote on Twitter, while another said, “I love that no one is hiding it anymore.”

The team analyzed PSG’s recent disappointing exit from the Champions League as they lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich on the night and 3-0 on aggregate to be knocked out in the Round of 16. The previous evening, Bellingham’s Borussia Dortmund had gone to Chelsea themselves.

But as Sportsmail reported on Wednesday, Liverpool’s hopes of signing Bellingham will likely hinge on whether they qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Reds are confident they can sign him but face stiff competition from Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid for the 19-year-old.

Playing in Europe’s top competition is likely to be a deciding factor now that Bellingham have gotten used to playing against the best with Dortmund.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have found form in recent weeks, winning four of their last five games, including Sunday’s 7-0 win over Man United. That puts them within three points of Tottenham, who occupy the fourth and bottom Champions League spot in the Premier League, and Liverpool have a game in hand.
