Thiago Alcantara will not play for Liverpool again this season as he needs surgery for a hip injury.
The decision has been made for the Spaniard to go under the knife and he will therefore not be available for Liverpool’s remaining games of the Premier League season against Fulham, Brentford, Leicester City, Aston Villa and Southampton.
The 32-year-old has already missed a significant number of games this season due to various issues. He spent six weeks on the sidelines after sitting out with a hamstring problem during the trip to Fulham in August before being ruled out for two months between February and April with a hip flexor problem.
