Man United XI confirmed to face Wrexham in pre-season friendly

Manchester United have confirmed their starting XI for the game against Wrexham in San Diego in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The clash begins at 03:30 BST at Snapdragon Stadium and will feature a number of young talents.

Of course, Erik ten Hag used a lot of young players in United’s first two pre-season games and that had a big impact. All three goals against Leeds United and Lyon came in the second half as Ten Hag rotated the team to use more young players.

With the first-team regulars set to face Real Madrid on Thursday, the encounter against the newly promoted Football League offers many of these youngsters a great opportunity to impress Ten Hag once again. A young squad includes seasoned boss Jonny Evans, who has signed with the club on short notice to compete in the pre-season alongside academy talent.

There are also some players who have traveled with the first team to play against Arsenal as they are unlikely to have much playing time as first team players seem to have more than 45 minutes a game under their belt.

This includes Alvaro Fernandez, Dan Gore and Hannibal Mjebri, but Kobbie Mainoo is not involved as he is due to play against Real Madrid.

The full initial XI can be seen below:
