    Mane, who spent a highly successful seven years with the club, has completed his £35 million transfer from Jurgen Klopp’s team to the Bundesliga winners, as Sportsmail reported earlier today.

    As soon as word of the attacker’s leaving spread, Carragher used Twitter to say goodbye, and Liverpool fans on the social media site agreed with him.

    The 44-year-old tweeted: “My favorite player of this period, Sadio Mane finally departs little maintenance excellent performance & never injured!” to his 1.9 million followers. A real Liverpool Legend with numerous awards and goals. I’m grateful, Sadio.

    After joining Liverpool from Southampton in 2016, Mane scored 90 league goals, ending the club’s 30-year wait for its first Premier League championship.

    In addition to winning every club trophy available, including a sixth Champions League triumph, he leaves the north-west having also lost two European finals to Real Madrid in 2018 and 2022.

     

    The Senegalese forward joins Bayern Munich following an outstanding season at both the club and international levels, during which he helped his country win the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Africa Cup of Nations, defeating Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in the championship match.

    Mane distinguished himself among Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup thanks to his stellar injury record, ability to contribute with assists and goals in pivotal matches, and popularity among Liverpool supporters.

    Alongside Salah and Roberto Firmino, the winger was an integral part of the legendary attacking trio that helped Liverpool win six trophies since 2015.

     

    Following Liverpool’s £85 million acquisition of Darwin Nunez from Benfica earlier in the week, Darwin Nunez will join Bayern Munich in the summer.

    Sadio Mane is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Premier League club Liverpool and the Senegal national team. Born in Sedhiou, Senegal, he grew up in an impoverished family in the small village of Bambali. He was inspired to pursue a career in football after he saw his country’s team perform well at the 2002 World Cup. He later made his debut for the French club Metz. Eventually, he joined the Red Bull Salzburg, an Austrian football club. He led them to win the Austrian Bundesliga as well as the Austrian Cup. He was later signed by Southampton, where he set a record the next year by scoring the fastest hat-trick. In 2016, he transferred to Liverpool for around 34 million euros. This made him the most expensive African player of that time. Sadio Mane has also played for the Senegalese national team, helping them reach the quarter finals of the 2012 Olympic tournament. He also played for the national team at the 2015 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, and 2018 FIFA World Cup. In 2020, Sadio Mane was included in New African magazine’s Top 100 most influential Africans list.
