Andre Onana close to leaving Inter Milan for Manchester United, deal to be fully completed this summer

Manchester United reportedly threatened Inter Milan before accepting Andre Onana.
The Cameroon international is set to leave San Siro for Old Trafford this summer.

He replaces David De Gea, who recently left the club on a free transfer. Manchester United have been seeking an agreement for Onana since the decision to sack De Gea. And now they are set to bring in the Inter Milan star after agreeing a deal believed to be worth around £42m.

According to Corriere dello Sport, United threatened the Serie A giants during the talks. They made it clear they would abandon the negotiations on Onana and look elsewhere.
Inter bosses Giuseppe Marotta and Piere Ausilio refused to lower their demands, prompting United to take action.

They then reduced the asking price to around £47m, as they felt it was a fair return for their number 24. But United have now managed to sign Onana at a lower-than-expected price, with the 27-year-old becoming the club’s second signing this summer after Mason Mount.
Quinton Fortune, Eric Djemba-Djemba, Manucho, Mame Biram Diouf and Wilfried Zaha were all recruited when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.

Under Jose Mourinho, United dropped Eric Bailly in the 2016 summer transfer window. And in January 2020, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed Odion Ighalo on loan, with the striker netting five goals during his time at Old Trafford.

Onana replaces De Gea. The Spain international recently confirmed his departure on social media, saying:

“Just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United fans.” I want to express my undying gratitude and appreciation for the love of the past 12 years. “We have achieved a lot since my dear Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club.

“I was incredibly proud every time (sic) I wore this shirt, leading the team, representing this institution, the greatest club in the world, was an honor only given to a lucky few footballers.” arrived here.

“I didn’t think that if we left Madrid as children we would get what we did together.” Now is the right time to take on a new challenge, to push myself again into a new environment.”

United were now able to get on some of the other goalkeepers. Tom Heaton is wanted by Luton and Everton, the veteran looking for regular action as he enters the final years of his career.
Matej Kovar has been linked with a move to Sparta Prague. And Dean Henderson is wanted at Nottingham Forest after a successful loan spell last season.

Man Utd now dealing with ‘bad news’ in Old Trafford takeover update

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe left in ‘frustrating’ situation by Glazer family

Manchester United are still under the control of the Glazers and the delay in their takeover of Old Trafford is “bad news” for potential buyers of the club, journalist Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT.
Although the current owners of the Red Devils announced last November that they were “starting a process to explore strategic alternatives” – which could include selling the Red Devils – a hierarchical change does not yet appear imminent.

Manchester United Latest News – Update on Takeover

According to The Athletic, there is a feeling Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani’s bid to buy Manchester United is still ongoing, despite his intentions to take 100% control of the Premier League giants. The report suggests that the Qataris, who are spearheading the Nine Two Foundation’s bid, have not contacted Raine Group, even though they were hired by the Glazers to oversee the acquisition process.

Sheikh Jassim launched a final offer last month and it is said he could turn his attention to buying a domestic rival if his bid to pick up the keys to Old Trafford fails.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has met the Glazer family for talks and remains interested in buying Manchester United, but on different terms.

Billionaire Ineos is willing to keep Joel and Avram Glazer on board as the structure of its offer has met opposition from minority shareholders.
Respected journalist Jacobs recently told GIVEMESPORT that the transfer budget handed to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag will not be affected if a takeover is completed before the summer window closes.

What did Ben Jacobs say about a Man United takeover?

Jacobs believes Manchester United may not change hands until the transfer window has already closed or is in the final stages, meaning the new owners won’t have time to improve the squad.
The journalist believes the development will have disappointed Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe as they were keen to make an immediate impact.

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT: “The good news for Manchester United is that they have been able to move in the transfer market, which has always been the case, regardless of the potential new owner.” “But the bad news for Manchester United in terms of long-term clarity is that the window could potentially close, or be about to close, before a potential new owner – if they join – has their say on the matter.”

“For the current Manchester United recruitment team, it may not affect the plan that comes into this window of opportunity, but it is extremely frustrating for Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe because when they have started this process, they planned a lot.” be able to assign this window. Now, it doesn’t look like that will be the case.

What next for Man United?

Manchester United enjoyed an outstanding first season under ten Hag, with data from Transfermarkt showing they won 42 of their 62 games last season.
