Breaking News – Man Utd considering to sign Napoli hot striker Victor Osimhen that spoke about Premier League dream with Man Utd

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen tells reporters about his ambitions to play in England: “I’m working so hard to fulfill my dream of one day playing in the Premier League.” ; Manchester United are among their potential suitors

Victor Osimhen has caused a stir in the Premier League after the hot Napoli striker admitted he dreams of proving himself in the English top flight.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form for his club this season, scoring 19 goals in 21 Serie A games and sparking Napoli’s sensational season in which they lead the league by 15 points.
These performances have won him admirers across Europe, with Manchester United among their potential candidates for the summer transfer window opener. Erik ten Hag’s side have already laid the groundwork for his signing.

Speaking to the press on Friday after the shock 1-0 loss to Lazio, Osimhen will have sparked interest from all sides in the English top flight simply by expressing his desire to play in the Premier League. “I think playing in one of the top five championships in the world is a great thrill for me,” he said after being named “Best Foreign Athlete of the Year” by the Italian Foreign Press Association.

“Many people around the world consider the Premier League to be the best and strongest league, but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world and it’s Italy’s Serie A.
“I’m working so hard to make sure I can achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League one day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep up the momentum and keep doing well.”

Manchester United are looking for a striker for the club in the summer following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in December, and loanee Wout Weghorst will return to Burnley at the end of the season.
Sky Sports News senior reporter Melissa Reddy says there is strong interest in Tottenham forward Harry Kane, who enters the final 12 months of his Spurs contract in July, but also reports Osimhen’s age makes him more suited to the profile of the player United want to sign.

There are obvious reasons for Harry Kane’s attraction to Manchester United, not least to rekindle the attacking chemistry between him and Christian Eriksen, but I understand that United would ideally like a younger, more dynamic profile. like Osimhen. The Premier League’s interest in Osimhen precedes his move to Napoli. Sky Sports reported that Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea have been following the then Lille forward’s progress since 2019.
He spent just one year in Ligue 1, but an 18-goal season was enough to convince Napoli to give up €80m to take him to Serie A.

Analysis: Osimhen would be a perfect fit for the Premier League

“He’s very good, a very good player. I haven’t seen a player like him in Serie A since the good old days. He has everything; He has rhythm, he is strong, he is hungry.
“He scores with headers, with his left foot, with his right foot, you saw that against Frankfurt where he scored two goals but one was ruled out.”

“He wears a mask because he has a very serious injury and you think when you get injured like that you are afraid of tackles – but not him.”
“He is perfect for the Premier League.” It has all the qualities you need, it’s very strong, the rhythm is high.
“He’s destroying the Italian league because the pace is a little slower, but in the Premier League with all that pace, speed, quality and mentality, I think he’ll be perfect.”

Manchester United is faced with three problems if solved their possible 25-man squad next season could look like this

Man Utd will be looking to overhaul their squad in the summer transfer window with a number of key additions.

United need to build on the foundations that have been laid, and that includes supporting their manager over the summer term as he looks to complete the next phase of his squad overhaul.

The FA Cup Final defeat to Man City reminded us of how big of a job it will be, and in particular highlighted the three biggest issues that ideally need to be addressed in the coming months.
United’s priority is to add an elite striker to their squad this summer, seen as one who could have the most transformative impact on the squad. Ten Hag has already held several video calls with Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, who would be a feasible target as United believe Tottenham won’t sell Harry Kane.

The United manager is also keen to add a young midfielder to his squad this summer and personal terms have already been agreed with Mason Mount over a potential transfer.
Mount officials have reportedly held advanced discussions with United, but there is still no agreement between the clubs over the fee.
Demand is also growing for the signing of a new goalkeeper this summer following David de Gea’s poor performance in the FA Cup final defeat.

The 32-year-old has been offered a new low-wage contract at Old Trafford but Ten Hag has warned he is not guaranteed to be first-choice next season. Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa is seen by many as an ideal match for United’s needs, but has already signaled his intention to stay at the Portuguese club next season.

United also have an interest in adding a new central defender to the squad if possible, although it is not so necessary given the options they already have in defence.
Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw have both proved their worth as back-up options in central defence, and the club would likely need to sell captain Harry Maguire before approving deals in that area.

Ten Hag could bolster their senior options by bringing in Amad and Alvaro Fernandez on loan following their successful spells in the league, although interest in their services is strong again this summer.

Ex-manchester United player reveals four players might leave Old Trafford at the end of the season

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes there will be at least four departures from the club in the coming weeks.

Scott McTominay has been linked with moves to Newcastle and West Ham and Ferdinand believes the Scotland international could look to leave the Red Devils for more first-team football:

Rio Ferdinand names four Manchester United players expected to leave Old Trafford this season

“Scott McTominay hasn’t played much football, not as much as he would like. If I were him as a young player I would probably start to assess the situation and have serious talks with the club [ask] : do you see me as part of it or not? Being so low in the pecking order I would start looking and I don’t think he will have a hard time finding a club. It’s a really good footballer and he can add a lot of value.”

Manager Erik ten Hag has already indicated he won’t oppose captain Harry Maguire’s departure and Ferdinand said the England international is likely to look for a move elsewhere:

“Harry Maguire has to think of a new option. Unless he says he likes being third or fourth choice.

Ferdinand also claimed that Anthony Elanga and Anthony Martial could leave if United receive good offers for them. Ten Hag would like to renew United’s selection

Several reports have suggested United may only have around £100m to spend due to financial fairplay rules, so player sales will be key to supplementing the transfer budget.
Maguire and McTominay in particular could bring in decent sums, while Elanga reportedly has plenty of clubs courting to sign him.

However, getting good pay for Martial may be more difficult due to his poor injury record, while it may be difficult to fire fringe players, such as Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek and Brandon Williams.

Good News shows up; Five transfer deals from relegated teams that could save Manchester United millions

Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton have been relegated from the Premier League and MEN Sport have taken a look at whether Man United could pick up some bargains.

James Madison

The obvious name when scrolling through the three relegated lists. James Maddison has established himself as an excellent Premier League player in recent seasons and will certainly have a top-flight club for him this summer. Maddison’s talent wasn’t enough to keep Leicester in the top flight, but he would be criminal if he didn’t return to play there next season.

Maddison has 22 goals and 17 assists to his name in 65 games in his last two league games. He influences the games and enters the best years of his career. With United looking for a midfielder this summer, Maddison is expected to be in talks. He has real quality in distance and set pieces. The midfielder has the charisma and skill of someone who belongs in the biggest stages with the best players. United could do much worse than thinking about a possible move.

Harvey Barnes

At this point you start to wonder why Leicester’s season ended in relegation. Barnes is another great player with a lot of athleticism. Barnes is approaching pivotal years in his career and has shown the threat he poses at Premier League level.

Much like Maddison, his numbers have been strong in recent seasons, with Barnes having double-digit contributions over the past four seasons. While his last game for Leicester ended in heartbreak, Barnes enjoyed his best season in the top flight – scoring 13 goals. He’s a direct and powerful underdog who would improve most Premier League teams.

Romeo Lavia

A very decent deal in an otherwise terrible season for Southampton. The former Manchester City player would attract Liverpool and Chelsea after his first season in the Premier League. Lavia stood out on the struggling Saints side for his intelligence in the middle of the park and his tenacity off the ball.

Lavia has made 29 appearances in the top flight and, at 19, has a very bright future ahead of him. People like Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are doing a great job for United at the moment, but the 31-year-old won’t be around forever. Whoever snags Lavia this summer could land one of his best long-term signings in a while.

Youri Tielemans

Another midfield option, but with the added attraction that Tielemans is a free agent. The Belgium international is 26 and any signing would involve relatively little risk given Tielemans has just reached 200 Premier League appearances.

The midfielder will certainly leave Leicester this summer and will try to play the best football he has, with injuries having not helped him this season. Tielemans has had a disappointing season both collectively and individually, but a fresh start and fresh motivation could be exactly what he needs. The magic will still be in those boots.

Armel Bella Kotchap

United are paired with centre-backs and Bella-Kotchap showed plenty of promise last season despite Southampton’s defensive problems. He started the season well and perhaps needed a bit more experience and quality at his side when he made his first breakthrough in the Premier League.

A number of Premier League clubs, as well as teams from Spain, Germany and Italy have reportedly considered a summer move for the player. He has a long-term contract at Southampton, where there is every reason to keep the youngster in the next transfer window.

Manchester United fans react to Fred’s transfer update after meeting Marco Silva

Manchester United fans have reacted to the news that Fred is a summer transfer target for Fulham.
The midfielder capped off the Premier League season with a skilful assist for winner Bruno Fernandes in Sunday’s 2-1 home win against the Cottagers. After the match, Fulham manager Marco Silva was seen talking to Fred.
The Manchester Evening News understand the 30-year-old is a target for the London club, who signed Andreas Pereira from United for £13m last summer. The Reds are expected to finance the arrivals by selling current squad members.

They are open to allowing Anthony Martial and club captain Harry Maguire – among others – out to try and maneuver within the rules of financial fair play after spending £225m last year.

Fred has made 212 appearances for United since arriving in 2018, including six of his 14 goals this season. However, he has only started 12 Premier League games under Erik ten Hag and is 12 months away.
He could let go of a United player, and fans have shown their appreciation for the Brazilian, with a departure on paper following his filmed conversation with Silva. Those on Twitter have pointed out that they would like a hefty transfer fee in return if he leaves.

FAN’s REACTIONS

@jayrad1989: Would be a great signing for them.

@Savioursancho: Fred at Fulham would be a move I’d love to see happen.

@meticulous31: We have a chance to hit big figures in sales this summer. Henderson, Maguire, AWB, McTominay and Fred alone will generate at least £100m and that’s before you include Telles, Bailly, Williams, VDB and Martial if we’re lucky to get anything for them.

@jamesmoores_: If this is goodbye, it’s been a pleasure Pastor Fred.

Roy Keane names the two players Manchester United need to sign

Manchester United are set for a busy summer with quality additions in the forward department and in midfield the priority

Roy Keane believes Mason Mount would not significantly improve Manchester United’s midfield, urging his former side to go all out for Declan Rice and Harry Kane.

United look set for a summer of heavy investment as Erik ten Hag attempts to push his side to the next level. A 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday secured third place in the Premier League, but there is still some way to go before they can genuinely challenge Manchester City for the title.

Ten Hag is thought to want at least two major signings ahead of next season, with a world-class goalscorer the priority and a technical midfielder not far behind. Tottenham striker Kane has long been the Dutchman’s prime target for the former role, while recent reports have linked Mount with a move to Old Trafford.

However, Keane believes that while Mount is a solid player, he would not make the difference in lifting United and transforming them into title challengers.

Asked who could challenge City for the title next season, Keane told Sky Sport: “I hope it’s United. Obviously depending on the takeover, the usual stuff, recruitment – they have to get a world-class striker. You’d like to think United could challenge them next year but it’s going to be very, very difficult because City are brilliant and they have a great manager.”

Asked about recruitment, specifically Mount and Kane, the former Reds midfielder added: “I wouldn’t be so sure about Mount. They’re going to be linked with lots of players but the one that would excite you is Kane.

“[Mount] has just gone off the boil a little but I know he bounced back and he’s got quality. I was raving about him a few years ago but he’s just gone missing the last year – a few injuries, the fact he can’t get in a bad Chelsea team. I wouldn’t be hanging my hat too much on him in terms of improving United and closing the gap. He’s a good player but would he improve Man United? I’m not so sure.

“I think Rice would be a decent signing, but in terms of the excitement and the goalscoring, you’d go all out for Kane. But can you see Spurs selling him to Man United? Very, very difficult.”
