Erik ten Hag renders a decision regarding Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United despite PSG transfers links

In light of PSG ties, Erik ten Hag renders a decision regarding Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag hasn’t offered his opinion on Marcus Rashford’s status at Manchester United, despite the player’s situation being scrutinized over the previous week.

Marcus Rashford has struggled to replicate his 2022–2023 season of thirty goals, therefore his seasons at Manchester United haven’t been the best.

The athlete himself appears completely worn out and spent when on the pitch, which has caused the supporters to become weary.

To exacerbate the circumstances in this case Recent sources have indicated that PSG is considering a summer transfer for Rashford in order to replace Kylian Mbappe.

Now, Erik ten Hag has shared an update on the 26-year-old’s situation…

Erik ten Hag backs Marcus Rashford and rules out sale

Speaking to the press ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Liverpool, Ten Hag was asked about the reports linking Rashford away from Old Trafford.

“We didn’t re-sign him last season for four years with the intention of selling him. He should be part of this project.”

This response is as blunt as they come as Ten Hag clearly rubbished any chance of Rashford departing this summer.

With a season which has seen such uncertainty and fans unsure where the club stand on various situations and players, it’s good to see Ten Hag being explicit in his support of keeping Rashford.

Rashford needs to start performing despite Manchester United backing

Despite this, the truth remains that Rashford simply hasn’t been good enough this season which is why there’s been discussions around if he should be sold.

If the England international was performing to the level we all know he can, there would be no debate over his future at the club.

Rashford on form is as good as any player in the league, we just need to help him get on his day far more often than he has been this season.

Hopefully, if the club’s fortunes turn around in the back end of this season and next, he will also turn his form around and get back to his sparkling best.
