Man Utd bids adieu to the €55 million player who is departing Old Trafford alongside Varane and Martial

Manchester United will undergo a major player turnover in the summer transfer window, setting up a transfer revolution.

After yet another season marred by injuries and disappointment, it has already been confirmed that Raphael Varane will leave Old Trafford in the summer, with Anthony Martial expected to follow.

However, Man Utd is also ready for a third player to depart the team, as plans are in motion to honor Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s Red Devils career.

The Sun reports that Wan-Bissaka will say goodbye to his club for the last five years after Wednesday’s Premier League match with Newcastle at Old Trafford.

It is claimed that T-shirts have even been printed with the image of him lifting the Carabao Cup for the players to wear in his honour at the end of the match.

The 26-year-old joined Man Utd in 2019, but following a €55 million transfer from Crystal Palace, he has struggled to justify that fee.

Wan-Bissaka to leave Man Utd

With a year still left to run on his deal, he has found game time increasingly difficult to come back thanks to the rise of Diogo Dalot in the right-back role.

Consequently, the former England U21 international’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has dropped to €17.4m – around a quarter of what he was once worth.

In 187 Man Utd appearances, Wan-Bissaka earned a reputation as being an excellent one-on-one defender but equally has lacked the attacking qualities of a modern full-back. This is underlined by the fact he has only two goals and 13 assists during his time at Old Trafford.

He has been linked with a move back to Crystal Palace, with the possibility he could be included in a deal that would see France U21 winger Michael Olise move in the opposite direction.

United, though, will make a substantial loss on Wan-Bissaka.
