Man Utd ignore warning of a player’s “advice” by choosing Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United ignored Bruno Fernandes’ advice by signing Rasmus Hojlund.
The Danish forward was in the UK on Tuesday for a medical with United and will be officially announced by the club this week.

Hojlund moves from Atalanta to United in a deal worth an initial £64m, plus £8m in performance-related add-ons. Upon completion, the 20-year-old will sign a five-year deal with an option for another 12 months.
United hope the deal will be formalized in time for him to play one of the team’s final pre-season games. The club meets Lens and Athletic Bilbao this weekend.
United were linked with a string of forwards before settling on Hojlund, who has less than 90 senior appearances to his name.

Players linked included Goncalo Ramos and his Portuguese team-mate Fernandes was keen to see the striker move to Old Trafford.
Message from Fernandes de Goncalo Ramos… In May, Fernandes insisted RaSmUs had the qualities to play for United.
Speaking to Sport TV, as quoted by A Bola, Fernandes said: “The best are always useful, whether it’s Goncalo or another player.”

“I think he has all the qualities to play in the Premier League and when I say Premier League I mean Manchester United too.”
“I think he could become a big reference in the years to come, but becoming a sporting director is still not in my hands.”

He added: “Goncalo has everything it takes to play in the Premier League, he’s very intense, he presses very well and he’s very good in the box. He surprised me in the national team, not just me but also the rest of my teammates.”

“He is strong physically, he is still young and he will improve further.” “If he continues like this, I think he has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world, but he has to move to a more competitive league to prove it.”

Paris Saint-Germain are now said to be closer to an agreement to take over the centre-forward from Benfica.
Luis Enrique’s side are ‘very close’ to a £69million deal with surcharges to sign the striker, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, with Ramos having agreed a deal until June 2028.
From Benfica’s youth side, Ramos enjoyed a breakthrough last season, scoring 27 goals in 46 games for the Portuguese champions.

Do you think he was right about Ramous
