Milan players celebrate

AC Milan extended their winning streak with a 3-1 victory over Cagliari this evening, by a goal difference. A number of reserve teams performed well tonight and below are the Rossoneri player ratings.

Starting lineup
Athletes (6):
Some thought he could have scored better, but it was also a good effort from the Cagliari man. However, he made some good saves afterwards and looked comfortable between the sticks. Florence (6):
It wasn’t a bad performance by the veteran, but he just did what he needed to do tonight. He sometimes has a role reversal and works well to be present.

Thiaw (6.5):
He faces Petagna tonight and it’s not an easy task, given how assured the striker is. However, he won many duels and also had great ability with the ball.

Tomori (6.5):
He was certainly a bit reckless tonight, which could have hurt Milan more, and he was involved in the goal they conceded. However, he made up for that with his second goal of the match, which proved crucial.

Hernandez (6):
Perhaps he’s still a bit tired, as he lacks energy in certain situations and appears lazy on defense (he doesn’t follow Nandez in goal). That said, he also had some good times.

Loftus-Joue (7 – MOTM):
This goal, at that moment in the match, was very important for Milan. Cagliari regained momentum and the Englishman’s strike killed the game. He was also very calm on the ball tonight, making no mistakes down the right and winning duels.

Adli (7):
Yes, he lost the ball right in front of goal, but as the note above points out, that sequence involved a series of errors. The Frenchman actually looked good in the defensive phase, winning the ball back and blocking a shot on goal in the second half. On the ball he looked very comfortable and made many good passes (97% of passes were successful). Wish you a good evening. Reijnders (7):
His movement was exactly what Milan needed against a lowly Cagliari side, especially in the first half, as he was always available and helped create chances. Tomori’s assist for the goal was also great. He is also one of the players who can score better.

Chukwueze (6.5):
He looked very promising in many situations tonight with his dribbling ability, but the end product was lacking (may be needed to be ranked higher). It’s clear he could be even more important for Milan going forward, this is certainly a performance worth building on.

Noah Okafor of AC Milan

Okafor (6.5):
Just like Reijnders, Milan need movement tonight and the 1-1 goal is important, if a little lucky. It was a performance worth building on for the Swiss international.

Pulisique (6.5):
He had some really bad moments early in the game, but he got the hockey assist on the first goal (due to a goalie error) and then scored the second goal. three for Loftus-Cheek. He definitely got better as the game went on.

Substitute
Pobega (5.5):
Another sloppy pass from him from the bench, despite good positioning. He really needs to do this.

Moussa (6.5):
Very encouraging things from him in the number 6 role. He certainly looks like he could play there thanks to his stamina and low center of gravity.

Romero (6):
We didn’t really see much of him, but at least he was confident with the ball and helped us put the game through.

Leao (6): He had a few moments here and there where he nearly got through on the left flank.

Bartesaghi (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.
