Liverpool team news: Injury, banned against Newcastle United

Liverpool will be aiming to build on their timely win in the Merseyside derby when they return to Premier League duty at Newcastle United on Saturday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men secured a long-awaited 2023 Premier League win over bitter rivals Everton on Monday night, where goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah did the damage in a 2-0 victory.

The Reds remain mid-table in ninth place but with late games against Fulham and Brentford – who could overtake them given the right circumstances – Europe’s attack is still alive and well.

Here, Sports Mole sums up the latest injury and suspension news for Liverpool ahead of their clash with the Magpies, who drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at the weekend.
