The Reds meet Man City in their first match after the international break at the Etihad Stadium. Liverpool enter the game sixth in the Premier League table, seven points behind the top four.

Borussia Dortmund accept Liverpool’s offer for Jude Bellingham

Liverpool fans are already deeply concerned whether or not their team will sign Jude Bellingham.

Is it already a given that the Reds will take the star player from Borussia Dortmund instead of Real Madrid or Manchester City, as Thierry Henry seems to think? Or will Real Madrid manager Florentino Perez continue his annoying habit of keeping all the best young midfielders in the world in Madrid?

Well, the international break, which was rumored to be the 19-year-old’s self-imposed deadline for making a choice, is over, and there have been some rumors about where Jude Bellingham might go in a likely record move to the UK.

Journalist Jacque Talbot said the Reds’ offer had been accepted. This is based on a report by an agent named Haydn Dodge, who said earlier in the week that the Reds had made an offer of around £100million.

“Isn’t that the agent?” Who said Liverpool made an offer for Bellingham?

“I told you earlier that I had two text messages saying that an offer had been accepted and that everything was agreed and that there was a clause for him to become captain in two years. It’s just du noise because so many people are involved in the case and sometimes leaks happen.”

Chelsea sets Mason Mount price tag as Liverpool hold ‘important’ transfer talks

While Liverpool are in “important talks” over a deal for Mason Mount, including contract talks, Chelsea’s price tag has been set.

Aside from Jude Bellingham, Mount’s name is the one most .

Earlier this week football.london’s Bobby Vincent said there was a “serious possibility” that Liverpool could sign the 24-year-old.

He also claimed that this decision could be a “good deal”.

With Mount entering the final year of his contract, it’s reasonable to assume the price will be reduced. However, a new report from The Athletic suggests otherwise. A piece by Simon Johnson and Rafa Honigstein explains that the outlet has been “told that major talks have taken place on a possible move.”

Liverpool “would already be thinking about what kind of contract they could offer to convince the player to join them”.

The report goes on to say that Chelsea “would still be asking for £70m even as he enters the final year of his contract”.

However, The Athletic adds that whether this is feasible “remains to be seen”.

Liverpool have been widely reported to be paving the way for signing the midfielder, despite other top clubs having been keeping tabs on him since last summer.

However, there could be a new opponent in Bayern Munich: Thomas Tuchel, recently appointed as the new manager of the German side, would have loved working with Mount at Chelsea.

The Athletic report: “If the German felt there was a chance to reconnect with him, it would actually be more surprising if he decided not to pursue it.”

However, the report added that “Bayern’s structure tends to dictate that it is the recruiting team that usually identifies the players they are pursuing.”

At Chelsea’s end, contract talks have not progressed and when asked if he would like Mount to stay at Chelsea after this season, manager Graham Potter said: “Yes, but I’m not naïve.

“My feelings for Mason are clear. He is above all a wonderful person, but sometimes these things happen. “They’re just complicated and it’s better that I don’t talk about them much, that I let them, to decide what’s good for both parties.”

Liverpool and Mount will meet earlier than in the summer when the Reds travel to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on April 4.

5 interesting things spotted in Liverpool training as Reds get treble boost ahead of Man City

Liverpool are preparing to face Manchester City on Saturday, with boss Jurgen Klopp putting his side to the test in training on Thursday

Liverpool return from the international break with a big clash against title challengers Manchester City at Anfield midday on Saturday.

The Reds battled their way back into the top four ahead of the first round of Euro 2024 qualifying. And as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to close the gap on Tottenham and Newcastle, they have returned to the pitch ‘coaching.

Klopp picked up a triple injury ahead of City’s visit, with Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Kostas Tsimikas all present for Thursday’s session. Here, Mirror Football picks up the main talking points from Liverpool’s training session on Thursday. Nunez’ chic finish

Darwin Nunez has had a mixed first season in the Premier League since joining Liverpool in the summer. The striker became the Reds’ all-time record holder when he joined Benfica but struggled to live up to the award.

He had minor injury concerns but was in action on Thursday and showed why Liverpool paid so much for him. The Uruguayan flicked the ball past Caoimhin Kelleher during shooting practice with a smart shot.

Diaz shows off

Luis Diaz has spent a significant part of the season in the treatment room and has been one of the brightest players since joining the club in January 2022. However, the winger appears to be accelerating his recovery to full fitness as he takes part in Thursday’s session.

The Colombian seems intent on making up for lost time on the sideline. One moment, when he was out, Diaz produced a no-look pass with an impressive display of skill.

Milner still has it

Speaking of skills, James Milner has shown that he still has a lot of tricks in his book of him. Doubts are growing over the veteran midfielder’s future at Liverpool, with rumors of a new contract yet to start.

However, it doesn’t seem that the uncertainty is bothering him, given that the Englishman will show his abilities at a time away from serious training. Milner played hold up and showed he had control of the ball to keep it in the air.

He kept Cody Gakpo aside for a private chat during the bright start to his stay at Anfield. Having previously had a general conversation with the entire group, he spoke specifically to Gakpo as the Dutch international stretched.

Robertson goes up

Unsurprisingly, Andy Robertson is still riding at the height of Scotland’s famous victory over Spain. The left-back captained the tartan army on Monday as they secured an important win over La Roja to maintain their perfect start to Euro 2024 qualifying.

And he maintained his positivity during Thursday’s training session as he struggled to keep his spirits up. Robertson could be seen sharing jokes with Darwin Nunez, Jordan Henderson, Ben Doak and Mohamed Salah at various times during training.
