‘I don’t know’: Ferdinand predicts whether Liverpool or Real Madrid will continue at UCL

As Liverpool prepare to travel to the Santiago Bernabéu to face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16, Rio Ferdinand has made a prediction about the match.

With Jürgen Klopp’s side trailing 5-2 at home, they will need to replicate their impressive comeback against Barcelona in 2019 to stand any chance of taking the lead against the holders.

Now Rio Ferdinand has made a prediction about the possibility that Liverpool can do the impossible against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.

Rio Ferdinand predicts Liverpool vs Real Madrid

The former Manchester United centre-back said he believes the Reds have no chance of finishing in the top 4 at the end of the season. With that in mind, this match means everything to the guests before the match.

But Rio Ferdinand predicted it was impossible for Liverpool to pull off a miracle win to topple Real Madrid in the Champions League.

“I don’t know, Madrid are not in top form, by the way. But when the Champions League music plays, another Real Madrid comes out,” he said on the VIJF YouTube channel.
Real Madrid are the absolute favorites

Not only Rio Ferdinand, but anyone who tries to make a prediction about Real Madrid in the Champions League takes into account how inevitable it is in the competition, which is why it is impossible to side with Liverpool.
While the Merseyside giants have turned out for big games this season, such as against Manchester City and Manchester United, Los Blancos are a different match in Europe and especially when they have a three-goal lead to their name.

Unless the England team have another special European night in the works, it’s almost unlikely they can imagine a possible victory.

That said, here are the latest titles to release from Anfield in the last 24 hours.

Aldridge supports Salah’s departure

Former Liverpool star John Aldridge has hinted that Jurgen Klopp could potentially be forced to cash in on Mo Salah if he wants a major Reds rebuild in the summer after being critical of his performance against Bournemouth.

“There may be some discussion that selling Salah this summer and using that money to re-invest in the team might be an option, but that idea can wait until the end of the season.” he told the Sunday World. “Salah must in time lead Liverpool as a senior striker – and he didn’t do that at Bournemouth.”

Salah only signed a new long-term deal with the Reds last summer and is their top scorer this season with 22 goals to his name in all competitions.

Militao picks up on Reds threats

Despite the defeat to Bournemouth, Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has hinted that Salah and Roberto Firmino could inspire Liverpool to stage a famous comeback against his side.

“The night in Liverpool was one of the most historic of my sporting life: winning 5-2 and scoring there is a unique moment for any player,” said the defender. “But Liverpool have a super team and now we don’t want any surprises at home. Mo Salah has arrived at a good moment in attack.”

“He’s always dangerous and he’s hyper-motivated against us, and Roberto Firmino is back to scoring goals too. So nothing has been decided until the end of this match.
