Liverpool have confirmed that Origi and Karius will leave Anfield.

The Premier League club stated on Thursday that Divock Origi and Loris Karius will leave when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Origi, 27, has been a bit part player since joining Liverpool in 2014, but he has scored crucial goals, notably two in an incredible Champions League semifinal comeback against Barcelona in 2019.

The Belgium international has yet to play enough games to earn a contract extension. Thank you for an incredible eight years of service and leaving us with so many special memories. @DivockOrigi, Liverpool legend,” the club wrote.

Karius made headlines for his blunder-plagued performance in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid, and he spent the majority of his Liverpool career on loan.

Ben Woodburn and Sheyi Ojo, both former first-team players, have been released, as have three members of the club’s academy.

When he scored in the quarter-finals of the 2016 League Cup against Leeds at the age of 17, Woodburn became Liverpool’s youngest goalscorer, a title he currently maintains.
