Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a move by Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani

The 24-year-old impressed at the World Cup with France, which has seen interest in his services grow. Kolo Muani came close to scoring in the final against Argentina after only coming on as a substitute.

Kolo Muani only moved to Frankfurt from Nantes last summer. He moved to Germany on a free transfer after his contract expired.

After an impressive World Cup, clubs across Europe have been linked with a move by the striker. According to a report by French news agency L’Equipe, Liverpool are now interested.

It has been claimed that the Reds started working on a deal to sign Kolo Muani in the summer. However, it has been added that Manchester United are also doing the same as they too are said to be interested in signing the striker.

Besides, the report states that Frankfurt have set a high price for clubs interested in signing Kolo Muani. It has been claimed that a €100m (£89m) transfer fee will be needed to poach the striker from the Bundesliga club. Naby Keita is set to leave Liverpool.

Naby Keita’s five-year contract at Anfield expires this summer and it looks like his time on Merseyside could come to an end as well.

This week, German media reported that a ‘contract extension at this stage’ is unlikely for the 27-year-old but that ‘many clubs’ are interested in signing him.

One such club could be AS Roma, with AS Roma Live claiming the Italian capital club see Keita as a ‘genuine market opportunity’ as he will be available on a free transfer.

Roma reportedly put €20 in the bank selling Nicolo Zaniolo to Galatasaray and it’s believed the money could partly be used to offset Keita’s €7.3m salary.
Keita will certainly have a number of options on the table at the end of the season, but one of them doesn’t seem to be staying at Anfield.
