Entrance Thomas Tuchel

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has given Joao Cancelo a new transfer position, with Arsenal interested in signing the Manchester City man this summer.

Speaking at the press conference, he said: “I have the impression that Joao Cancelo is very comfortable here. But all parties are part of the decision.
“His desire to train is unique. I feel he is very happy. We will discuss everything after the end of the season.”

The Manchester City problem

According to the Telegraph, Arsenal are interested in Cancelo, although they fear Citizens won’t be so willing to sell him this summer following deals to sign Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko 12 months ago.
The report goes on to say that the Gunners are looking to strengthen themselves at full-back this summer and could rekindle their interest in Real Valladolid star Ivan Fresneda if they are unable to sign Cancelo at the end of the current season.
The north London club’s search for a defender is said to have become more urgent amid fears that Japanese international Takehiro Tomiyasu will struggle to play much before the end of the year following his knee injury. preference for left-back Kieran Tierney.

Declan Rice’s fee a thing of concern

Former Gunner Gilberto Silva does not think Declan Rice is worth the £100m-plus fee being suggested.

Speaking to Neue Online Casinos he said: “Normally you see this sort of price for strikers, not central midfielders. It feels quite high, even though there is no doubting the quality of the player, but it does feel like a very high price.

“I’m not 100% convinced this is the first position Mikel is going to strengthen first, but he is a really strong candidate.

“He has done so well at West Ham; I’ve watched their last few games and he has shown exactly why people are talking about him so highly. It’s not going to be an easy transfer because of the high price, but the market is crazy nowadays – you have to pay expensive fees for good players.”
