Liverpool transfer news LIVE: injury update and buildups against Manchester United game

We bring you all the updates including team news, injuries, transfers and more as Liverpool prepare to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the Premier League.

We look forward to the match against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday after Liverpool return to winning hands against Wolves following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

Liverpool can unleash a unique threat against Manchester United

With Manchester United ahead of Liverpool, memories of an earlier clash with fierce rivals the Reds were reawakened by a 2-0 midweek win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah were on the goalscoring list against Julen Lopetegui’s side, just like in a memorable win over United in 2020.

Regardless of Sunday’s result, Kopites won’t be shouting all the time that his team will win the league like they did three years ago. It is quite realistic that the last two scorers could enter the net again.

With 10 goals to their name, the Red Devils Salahs are common favorite opponents, along with their cousins across Manchester. There couldn’t be a better team for the Egyptian to equal (or hopefully beat) Robbie Fowler’s record of 128 Premier League goals for Liverpool. Klopp could soon strengthen the Liverpool midfield for free

Jürgen Klopp will undergo a major midfield overhaul at Liverpool this summer. A task the Reds were likely to have completed last summer, the club’s reluctance hinged on the (in)availability of Jude Bellingham and a lack of other suitable options in place of him.

However, as this season has shown, Liverpool cannot afford to make Bellingham or fail this time. Even if the club loses the England international, Klopp will need to strengthen his midfield somehow, and to do so, he will need to enter the transfer market. But given he could potentially lose three midfielders in James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keïta whose contracts expire at the end of the season, even a transfer or two might not be enough to fill the void in a only transfer window to fill, Bellingham or not.
