Liverpool’s final standings, top 4 and Premier League title winners predicted clash

Liverpool Premier League predictions as Reds battle for top four and Champions League qualification

Liverpool have just 12 games left to salvage a top-four spot from the wreckage of a terrible Premier League season.

And the Reds are due to face Manchester City in their second leg after the international break at the Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s men are trying to close an eight-point deficit on leaders Arsenal and prepare for a clash with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Tottenham, Newcastle and even Brighton are battling with Liverpool for a Champions League place, while across the table Bournemouth, Southampton, Everton and a host of other clubs struggle to survive in the relegation battle closest for years.

Here are Liverpool ECHO’s predictions for the dramatic final two months of the season. Ian Doyle, LFC Chief Reporter

Who will win the title?

Eight points clear in the final two months of the season, it will likely take Arsenal one of the worst surrenders in Premier League history to fail to win the title. The fact is the Gunners have lost so much this season – no injuries, problems with their rivals, general decisions, teams not taking them seriously, minimal pressure and expectation from the national media – that their ability to take advantage of situations, this was forged under Mikel Arteta for a few years and is now bearing fruit. In any normal season, they would be fourth. But this is not a normal season – and if it didn’t work out now, the reputations of everyone involved would be seriously damaged. Arsenal can’t ruin everything now.

Who will finish in the top 4?

With Arsenal at the top, Manchester City just below second place and Manchester United comfortably in third place, realistically only fourth place is up for grabs. Brighton are likely to be distracted from their FA Cup run and Liverpool are simply not doing very well this season. Newcastle United aren’t scoring many goals and while Tottenham Hotspur are in the box they have to face all three of these teams and Antonio Conte is clearly on some sort of self-destruct mission. They’re all dumb in their own way, aren’t they? So let’s say Liverpool.

Who is eligible for Europe?

It looks like at least two spots will go to the leaders, i.e. Tottenham and Newcastle. I really hope Brighton will be there too, whether it’s winning the FA Cup or finishing in the top seven where the Europa Conference League awaits us. Who’s going down?

For a while I thought Bournemouth and Southampton were gone and haven’t seen anything to change my mind over the past few months. Everton were safe in my opinion when they appointed Sean Dyche, while Leeds have a bit of quality and West Ham. Wolves and Leicester City will be fine with the drop despite their flirtation. I’d be worried for Crystal Palace if they didn’t play at Selhurst Park, but Nottingham Forest are falling back fast and are the least together of the struggling teams. So her.

Who has the right to Europe?

It appears that at least two places will go to those in the league, so it will be Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle. I really hope Brighton join in too, whether it be to win the FA Cup or finish in the top seven where the Europa Conference League awaits.

Who is demoted? For a while I thought Bournemouth and Southampton were gone and haven’t seen anything to change my mind over the past few months. Everton were safe in my opinion when they appointed Sean Dyche, while Leeds have a bit of quality and West Ham. Wolves and Leicester City will be fine with the drop despite their flirtation. I’d be worried for Crystal Palace if they didn’t play at Selhurst Park, but Nottingham Forest are falling back fast and are the least together of the struggling teams. So she. Who will win the Champions League?

Napoli are highly regarded given their easier route to the final, but the fact that they may have to beat two Italian teams could hamper them. Even so, the contest winner will come from the other half of the draw. Real Madrid can’t go on like this forever, so this will be the year Manchester City finally win. It will happen eventually, folks, so get used to the idea. Who will win the Europa League?

Manchester United may have had a tough draw but they still have to be solid favorites as they are the only half-decent team in a tournament that hasn’t had much quality this season. They should win it and I wouldn’t be surprised if they complete the cup treble achieved by Liverpool in 2001 by also adding the FA Cup to their already secured League Cup.

Who will win the title? A month ago I would have said Man City for the title. But the way Arsenal’s recent victories against Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth demonstrate a real championship spirit. Maybe that’s enough for them? Their trip to the Etihad next month is decisive.

Who finishes in the top 4? The first two are counted. Manchester United finish third and let’s be optimistic and say Liverpool finish fourth.

Who is eligible for Europe?

Spurs, Newcastle and Brighton occupy the rest of the European places.

Who’s going down?

Napoli reach the final but Real Madrid will always be Real Madrid. With Liverpool out now, I wouldn’t blame Sadio Mane for winning it with Bayern Munich.

Who will win the Europa League?

Let me google who else is there. Fingers crossed he also remains off Liverpool’s radar at the end of the season. Is Bayer Leverkusen still there? Great, then they are the Xabi Alonso team!

Who will win the title?

Arsenal. Their defeat at Everton led to a poor run but they have rebounded in recent games. The resilience they have shown is impressive, as is the emphatic way in which they have won crucial games and scored at least three goals in each of their last four (although they disappointed against Bournemouth in the end). Manchester City’s Champions League draw is tough and being five points behind and Arsenal looking only to the title means losing is theirs.

Who will finish in the top 4?

Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool. Liverpool’s task was complicated by the defeat at Bournemouth, but Spurs are in crisis and Newcastle United’s depth is limited. It’s been a bad season for Liverpool, but if they’re successful they’re still one of the best teams in the world and if they can regroup and build momentum, they slip into it. Who is eligible for Europe?

Napoli reach the final but Real Madrid will always be Real Madrid. With Liverpool out now, I wouldn’t blame Sadio Mane for winning it with Bayern Munich.

Who will win the Europa League?

Tottenham Hotspur are in real turmoil at the moment and Newcastle United’s form is down and they will be playing too many draws. Who is demoted?

It will be decided on the last day.

Who will win the Champions League?

Real Madrid still have the players for big occasions and will field Chelsea in the quarter-finals. No one is better equipped than Carlo Ancelotti to win this season’s competition. He will raise her for the fifth time.

Who will win the Europa League?

My head says Manchester United because I think they’ve tended to save the best version of themselves for Europe this season. However, my heart is entirely behind the Union Saint-Gilloise. You are a remarkable model of how to recruit effectively on a budget. Richard Garnett, football writer

Who will win the title?

Arsenal have been the best team to watch all season and have the prospect of ending their 19-year wait for the Premier League title. That’s exactly why I think they’re going to screw it up and be overtaken by Manchester City at the end of the season. See how you like Arsenal.

Who will finish in the top 4? The Gunners finish in a poor second place and are joined in the top four by Manchester United and either Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle or Liverpool. The Reds have barely bothered the top four all season, so I see no logical reason why things should change now. That said, both Newcastle and Tottenham look capable of screwing it up, but I’m backing Spurs as the ultimate bottle-job, leaving the door open for Eddie Howe’s Magpies to return to the Champions League sooner than expected.

Who has the right to Europe?

Liverpool and Spurs qualify for the Europa League with Brighton boxing well above their weight to hold off the threat from Brentford, Fulham and Chelsea for the Conference League place. Who is demoted?

Across the table, anyone from Crystal Palace can enter the league next season. Sean Dyche will likely do enough to avoid Everton’s near-expected death, so I’m picking Southampton, Bournemouth and Leeds United to take out the three.

Who will win the Champions League?

Manchester City have a tough game ahead of them against Bayern Munich, but if they can get through that, I’ll make them favorites to win their first European Cup. Napoli are in a great moment and are aiming for honors, but beware of that pesky Madrid white team. It’s fair to say they know how to do it.

Who will win the Europa League?

Jose Mourinho likes a little bit of European football, doesn’t he? Conference League champions with Roma last season, I support him to take it one step further this year by beating that Manchester side in the final. Provided, of course, that Erik ten Hag’s men beat Europa League specialists Sevilla first.

Who will win the title?

Manchester City

Although Arsenal have had an almost flawless season so far, I still think Manchester City will clinch their fifth Premier League title in six seasons. The reasoning behind such a belief is actually quite simple; Manchester City and Pep Guardiola were there, won and got the T-shirt for it.

Of course, Liverpool will have a say in the proceedings as they take on the Premier League’s top two teams in April. However, I think Arsenal’s eight-point deficit (despite one more game) will not be enough to withstand visits to Anfield and Etihad in the coming weeks and if things pan out, will Manchester City be? he there to capitalize on the gunners? lack of experience – even if they are not at their best.

Who will finish in the top 4?

Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

While there are still plenty of twists and turns in the stuttering race for the Champions League places, I think Liverpool’s end-of-season experience will see them level Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, just as Manchester City finished fourth.

Of course, with the Reds facing Manchester City, Chelsea and April in their next three Premier League games, there’s every chance Jurgen Klopp’s side will be left out.

But elsewhere in the race I think Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal have all but confirmed their qualification for next season’s competition, leaving only one final place up for grabs.

Who has the right to Europe?

EL – Tottenham and Newcastle

ECL – Brighton

Who is demoted?

Bournemouth

Southampton

Leeds United

Whilst my deciding factor in dooming Bournemouth to an immediate return to the Championship is the lack of effective quality within their squad, I believe the playing styles of both Leeds United and Southampton will ultimately seal their fate.

As evidenced against Wolves, Javi Garcia’s side are clearly capable of putting the ball in the back of the net and boast real attacking quality within their ranks. However, their inability to stay calm will prove to be Los Blancos’ downfall by the end of the season.

Who will win the Champions League?

real Madrid

As in previous seasons, I find it incredibly difficult to look past 14-time winners Real Madrid and their undeniable love for European football.

While Carlo Ancelotti’s side are clearly on the ‘tougher’ side of the table ahead of a potential semi-final clash with Manchester City or Bayern Munich, the talents of Vinicius Jr. and Karim Benzema – aided by a brilliant line-up of supply from Luka Modric and Toni Kroos – will prove too impressive for any of the remaining clubs to prevent Madrid from winning a record 15th European Cup.

Who will win the Europa League? Manchester United

As Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Brighton battle for a place in the Premier League’s top four and Manchester City and Arsenal battle for the league title, Manchester United’s position in almost no-man’s land will allow them to slowly turn their attention to the bottom rounds of the Europa League after six months of effort.

A possible reunion with Paul Pogba and his resurgent Juventus side is likely to be the most difficult task facing the Red Devils, but, as was the case with La Liga leaders Barcelona last month, the luxury of a double draw would lead United to home bring and repel.
