Arsenal without three key players against Sporting Lisbon
It was a sad one for Arsenal fans as they learnt that Arsenal will be without three key players as they go against Sporting Lisbon.
Arsenal are without Kieran Tierney, Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah for the Europa League fixture at Sporting Lisbon.
The North London giants have won their last four league games and will be hoping to extend the run against Sporting away from home.
Ahead of the clash, the club are expected to be without three key players in Tierney, Trossard and Nketiah. The trio missed practice earlier today.
Trossard picked up a groin injury against Bournemouth while Nketiah previously injured his ankle in the win over Leicester City. Meanwhile, Tierney has apparently been ill for a few days. Arteta was expected to give an update on the trio during his press conference.
Arteta is likely to make some changes to the starting lineup. Players like Matt Turner, Granit Xhaka and Ben White could return to the XI.
Gabriel Jesus could make his first appearance since November. After a long break following knee surgery, he is back in full training for the club.
Do you think that the absence of this key players can affect Liverpool’s performance as they go against sporting Lisbon.

Statistics show Arsenal’s super-sub is ahead of Erling Haaland and Marcus Rashford is the most prolific player in the Premier League this season
The Gunners are chasing their first Premier League title in 19 years – the latest in their famous Invincibles campaign – and are many people’s favorites after an incredible weekend.
Nelson scored the winning goal against BournemouthAFP last weekend
Arsenal’s dramatic 3-2 win over Bournemouth saw them keep Manchester City five points clear at the top of the table, Nelson scoring the winner in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
The 23-year-old made just three Premier League appearances in total, totaling just 84 minutes.
But that time was wisely spent: Nelson scored three goals and scored two, giving him the best minutes-for-goal of any Premier League player this season with five or more goals and assists combined. This means that in every 17 minutes of action in the Premier League, Nelson scores or assists, putting him miles ahead of Erling Haaland (63) and Manchester United star Marcus Rashford (115).
Third best player is Brighton’s Evan Ferguson with a goal or assist every 77 minutes and then, surprisingly, United’s Anthony Martial in the 92nd minute.
However, Nelson rocked the competition with his incredible impact on the pitch in such a short space of time, with his stunning left foot against the Cherries being his best effort.

Nelson played just 21 minutes against Bournemouth but also scored and assisted Ben White in the equalizer early in the match.
But it’s not the first time the winger has impressed this season, having scored a brace against Nottingham Forest off the bench earlier this season. He also got an assist.
His only other Premier League appearance was a matter of seconds when he was stopped for the last moments against Wolves in November.
And Nelson’s lack of playing time could see him leave Arsenal at the end of the season, although Mikel Arteta wants him to stay.
Nelson’s contract expires at the end of the season.
A contract offer is on the table for the Englishman but his current deal expires at the end of the season, CBS Sports report.
The report adds that there is interest from French side Nice as well as Brighton who could potentially offer the ex-Feyenoord on loan more playing time. But Nelson is a huge Arsenal fan and contract negotiations have reportedly gone smoothly so far.
