Breaking News: Salah’s agent speaks on the press release of the Egyptian leaving Liverpool
The Reds are seventh in the Premier League and still nine points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, but there are two games left to play.
Salah has been linked with an exit from Liverpool, but those claims have been dismissed by his agent.
Liverpool need a complete rebuild as their misery was made worse by a 5-2 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie at Anfield last week.
A dismal 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace then followed on Saturday night. Unless they somehow pull off a miraculous turnaround at the Bernabeu, it will be a trophyless season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Salah wants to leave Liverpool this summer if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Mohammed Salah’s agent has dismissed suggestions the Liverpool star could leave if he fails to secure Champions League football.
The report adds that Jurgen Klopp wants to make ‘major changes’ to his squad and Salah is the ‘main candidate’ to leave.
However, such claims have since been deemed untrue and branded as ‘nonsense’ by the Liverpool striker’s agent, Abbas Issa.
He wrote on Twitter: “This is absurd. This was never thought of or considered. The failure to qualify for the Champions League didn’t even cross our minds.”
