Jurgen Klopp has a simple answer to why Mohamed Salah and Liverpool are 'suffering'

With just seven days to go until the January transfer window closes, Premier League clubs have to deal with everything they face for the rest of the season.

With a week to go, nearly every major Premier League side is still active in the January transfer window and could bring in new signings.

Salah’s replacement in Serie A

It’s a sequence of events that would certainly rock Anfield, but Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb claim Klopp is planning to monetize Mohamed Salah and replace him with Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
The Egypt international has struggled at times this season and while his seven league goals are not to be overlooked, the fact that the most recent came on Boxing Day shows just how out of form the striker is.
At the age of 30, Liverpool ran out of time to realistically capitalize on Salah and the point deduction situation at Juventus could make Chiesa easier than ever.
Salah still has plenty of suitors, Paris Saint-Germain would be interested. Using the fee for Chiesa, worth £60m, a spectacularly talented player and five years younger than Salah, could prove an inspired move.

ARSENAL

leaders Arsenal have confirmed the signing for the second window in the form of Polish international Jakub Kiwior for a £21m fee. His arrival comes just days after Leandro Trossard was bought by team-mate Prem Brighton.

The Red Devils are another team expected to make some changes ahead of the deadline, with manager Erik ten Hag reportedly keen on French international Axel Disasi from Monaco.

CHELSEA

Chelsea have already signed the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile and Noni Madueke. However, the Blues are keen to spend more with world champion Enzo Fernandez the new player in their sights.

Fresneda has to make a decision.

Arsenal-linked defender Ivan Fresneda is set to make a decision on his future, according to The Athletic. The Gunners have reportedly reached a deal with the teenager, as have Bundesliga star Borussia Dortmund.
Fresneda, who plays at his club soccer club Real Valladolid, is expected to be available for €15m. Although a move is likely to happen in January, reports suggest he will then be loaned out to his current club for the rest of the season.

Villa ask Deulofeu

Aston Villahave have inquired about the return of Udinesewinger Gerard Deulofeu to the club, report Birmingham Live.
The 28-year-old, who previously played for Watford and Everton, worked with manager Unai Emery on loan at Sevilla in 2014/15.
Now there could be a Spanish reunion at Villa Park, if Emery gets his way.

Fulham identify Cedric’s alternative

Fulham could be close to pulling out of a deal for Arsenal’s Cedric Soares, with Marco Silva’s side keeping tabs on Joshua Brenet. According to The Express, informal talks have opened over a deal for the 28-year-old. Brenet is a Dutch international in his own right, having won both caps in 2016. He graduated from the PSV academy and impressed at Twente after a spell in Germany.

The Cottagers were looking for reinforcements at right-back, with summer signing Kevin Mbabu struggling to make an impact. Disgraced Arsenal man Cedric seemed to be top of the list but now it seems the newly promoted side are looking elsewhere.

Chelsea target Everton double deal

Chelsea are targeting a double deal for Everton pair Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana. England Under-21 international Gordon has been a key summer target for the Blues, with Everton turning down a £60million offer.

Onana only arrived at Goodison Park in August but the big-money midfielder has impressed – despite the team’s struggles.
Now, amid financial difficulties and during a struggling season on the pitch, the Daily Mail claims Chelsea could agree a deal before the summer – possibly keeping both on loan at the struggling Merseysiders until then.

The cancellation of the shock contract of Messi

Lionel Messi would have changed his mind and would no longer renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
At least that’s what Jijantes says, who claims Argentina’s World Cup win made the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner think twice.
It’s still unclear where Messi could continue his career.
