It’s the most trending news now that questions are being asked Why did Arsenal players celebrate with a clock after Fulham’s 3-0 win? Fans come up with an interesting theory as Gunners make a statement about the title

Arsenal players celebrated their stunning 3-0 win over Fulham on Sunday (12 March) with a giant clock. Goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard helped the Gunners win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.

Mikel Arteta’s side are five points clear of number two Manchester City at the top of the table. However, fans tried to read between the lines as they celebrated the victory at Craven Cottage with a clock. Arsenal’s hands were pointing towards 11 and 2 in a photo uploaded by Oleksandr Zinchenko to his Instagram account. Fans assumed the Gunners were speaking in code, alluding to:

“11 games 2 games.”

There are only 11 games left before Arteta’s men can win the Scudetto and put an end to 19 years of pain. A fan thinks the Spanish coach is using his watch as a message to his players:

“Arteta defo showed this watch to the team during the team interview before the game.”

Another was intrigued by the clockwork celebrations:

“This is insanely cryptic.”

Time is definitely on Arsenal’s side and they are on a collision course with Manchester City. The two sides are set to meet on April 26 at the Etihad in a summit clash that could have huge implications for the title.
Before that, Arteta’s men will play Crystal Palace on 19 March, Leeds United on 1 April, Liverpool on 9 April, West Ham United on 14 April and Southampton on 21 April. They will, however, turn their attention to the Europa League Round of 16 this week when they take on Sporting CP in the return leg at the Emirates on Thursday, March 16. Both teams are tied 2-2 on aggregate heading into this clash.

Leandro Trossard shone against the Cottagers.

Trossard excelled in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham and bagged a hat-trick of assists in the victory at Craven Cottage. The Belgian joined the Gunners from Brighton & Hove Albion for £27million in January. He quickly became an important player for Arteta’s team.

The Gunners boss was quick to praise Trossard for his performance against Fulham. He told reporters (via GOAL):

“He gave three assists and could have scored two. I think he was really impressive.”

Arteta also revealed that Trossard suffered a minor stroke days before the match but made an impressive recovery:

“Not only did he have an injury three days ago that could have lasted a week, or another 10 days, but he was really willing to come back soon and the doctors and medical staff have done a great job.”

Trossard scored one goal and had five assists in ten appearances for Arsenal. He proves to be an excellent competitor for Gabriel Martinelli.
