Transfer gossip: Hapless Chelsea man desperate for troubled position at Liverpool in big lift for Klopp; Boehly ready to sell the £22million star to AC Milan

A hapless Chelsea star is pushing for a move to Liverpool this summer to get his grueling career back on track, as Sunday’s Transfer Gossip says Blues owner Todd Boehly is ready to sell another midfielder to AC Milan for 22, 1 million pounds.

Mason Mount is reportedly keen on a move to Liverpool this summer as talks over a new contract with Chelsea have stalled.

The England midfielder is said to be demanding equal pay with Chelsea’s top-earning stars to tie in his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

But Football Insider reports that the 24-year-old is keen to play under Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, as he is a “huge admirer” of the German tactician.

And with talks between the Blues and Mount at a standstill, this opens the door for Liverpool’s potential attack. Mount currently has less than 18 months to complete his current contract in west London.

He is currently believed to be earning a reported salary of £80,000 a week despite renewal terms not having been good enough.

Mount has three goals and six assists in 32 games in all competitions this season. However, he was often fired and removed from the page by Graham Potter.

The Reds could all drop James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on free transfers this summer. Players such as Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara are also struggling with injuries, while even Jordan Henderson is no longer first choice.

Milan and Chelsea could do more business together this summer, according to the latest news.

Calciomercato says the Italian giants are eyeing Ruben Loftus-Cheek as a possible replacement for Aster Vranckx, who won’t permanently convert his loan deal from Wolfsburg this summer.

The owners of both clubs are said to have a good relationship, with first contact being made via Loftus-Cheek in October when Milan visited Stamford Bridge in the Champions League.

The 27-year-old has struggled to get regular playing time under Graham Potter, especially given the size of the Chelsea squad and the number of additions since Todd Boehly took over. The report adds that the Blues are considering selling Loftus-Cheek among a number of other first-team stars to reduce that squad and make Potter’s life a little easier when it comes to selection.

There is talk of a request for 25 million euros, although much will depend on the player’s willingness to leave the London club.

CITY READY TO PROCEED TO GOAL FOR BARCELONA

Manchester City are reportedly ready to let Bernardo Silva leave the club in the summer, while Barcelona are still interested in signing the Portuguese international.

A report in Spanish publication Sport said that while Silva wants a raise to stay at City, he has led the club to try to cash in on the playmaker who has more than two years on his current contract.

Sporting director Txiki Begiristain is alleged to have told Silva at a recent meeting that he can leave the club if he wishes. Meanwhile, Sport add that City have even informed the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, that they will accept offers for £65m in the summer.

Barcelona have long admired Silva and made numerous attempts to sign the player, with one last attempt in January.

However, Pep Guardiola was reluctant to let such an important first team star leave mid-season.

The report also adds that Silva is interested in joining Xavi’s Barcelona project, although salaries could be an issue for the Catalan club.

They are currently trying to stay within the rules of financial fair play. Indeed, La Liga president Javier Tebas has told them to cut 200 million euros from their salary for next season.

Therefore, a move would be difficult for Silva to secure, especially given his salary demands.

Silva scored his fourth goal of the season in Saturday’s win against Newcastle at the Etihad.
